What intake size?

I am re-doing the ballast system on my boat and planning on running (2) Tsunami 1200s to fill an integrated bow sack and a 1000 lb ski locker sack. In order to support these two pumps how large an intake should I go with? 1" or 1 1/4"?

bigger is better. I think i've got 1.5" scoop on my intake going 2 rule 1100s. pry overkill but why not

Anything from 1" to 1-1/4" will be fine. We just had a customer that used one 1" thru-hull intake for two tsunami pumps and he is not having any issues. Are you going to use a manifold or run two separate thru-hulls? You don't need a scoop strainer as long as the pumps are under the water line. Take a look at the Rule 1100 gph pumps that Nacho used as well. They have a 3/4" intake and 1" outlet which is rad because you can install two separate 3/4" thru-hulls instead of running all of that hose around the boat.

The Rule 1100 is actually faster then the Tsunami T1200.

The only issue I have had with the Rule 1100 pumps is the height of them. In some cases they do not fit when mounted vertically. Other than that they are awesome.
