Im wondering if anyone has tinted the windshield glass on their boat and how they like it? I am thinking about having it done to my boat.

Any thoughts?

Most people complain about visability...but I think it looks sick. Go for it.

Visibility is what I am worried about most....I would just get the standard 32% that is legal in Georgia though.

My last boat had it but my current one doesn't and wont have it. It looks cool but costs a lot and significantly reduces visibility.

I had my windshield out this winter and replaced the actual glass. While it looks cool, I'm glad I didn't go any darker!

I just got mine done(20%), and I can't believe I have never had it before. It is really makes in nice during the day. I am never out at night, so I don't have an issue. I absolutely love it, and will get it done from now on.

I thought about having my VLX done and I heard that it is best to remove the windshield and take it to the tint shop. Is that how you guys who have tinted your boats did it? How hard is it to remove the windshield and then reinstall it?

I'm tinted. Love it. No windshield removal on my tint job, and if you look closely you can tell. If you're really picky you won't like it and should have the windshield removed. That said, it's not like you get a clear stripe that stands out like crazy...you have to be looking for it.

I had warranty issues with my windshield down the line, and when it came up I was glad that the manufacturer and dealer couldn't point their fingers at the tint job and say I was voided since it had been removed.

I'm tinted up. 20% I have found is just right. I seldom run with my head below the wind shield line so visability is not an issue. I have a 06 V-ride and just removed the upper glass frame then the glass from the frame. This way I did not have to remove the frame from the hull. Makes it cheaper to have done to.

I'm not tinted. Love it. I can see in any light. It's really personal choice on the look you want for your boat. My decision was wear some polarized sun glasses and leave the windshield clear. Upload

Tint looks great but my problem is I usually ride after work so I come in when its dark out. So dark windows plus the delta at night = a scary situation.

I tinted my windshield, it looked great, but I couldn't see anything, so I took it off. However I am a slalom skier and need to be able to see the boat guides REALLY well, so it made it seem worse, and if you EVER out after sun down, forgetaboutit. I peeled it off after a week.

Ryan Pass---- Ill be riding at Allatoona and Carters Lake mostly. Sometimes I go to Parksville (Ocoee Lake) in Tennessee. Very clean lake without much traffic.

I just tinted mine for the first time this year too...but haven't been out yet...I don't boat at night (MAYBE once a year), so not really concerned about that.

I am thinking 20% is good and the extra shade is always nice.
