usually my buddy runs a 500 sack half full in the back for the little tikes and for wakeskating. when the big boys come out to play we fill 3 500#s behind and beside the motor. one time a 200# was added on top of the 500#s beside the motorbox and a 200 in the bow in addition to 4 people and a cooler! that was large. i have a custom ballast but it works out to be 1000 in the rear about 700 up front and 200 beside the motor.

Do you run a trans cooler or have had any tranny problems?

No tranny problems here either....FYI though I'm running 15w-40 motor oil (same as engine) in there instead of trans fluid. Their coming out of the factory that way now. http://mymastercraft.com/Forum/view_thread.cfm?postid=1826&forum=1826&category=2

Too much weight = tranny problems with those 190's...My buddy and I probably got six good years out of the boat (only boardin')1-500 in the back and 2-500 1/2 full on both sides of the box, and that was with proper driving technique. I guess it all depends, our boat was a 96'...I don't know about the newer models. --Mad Child...Your Crazy!

I put a 1500lb fat seat in the rear with 2 550s on top of it, a 100lb tractor weight in the bow with a 250 in there with it, when we want it to be good.

The Fat Seat plum full less the arm/back rests I would estimate at between 800-900 lbs.

They say it is 1200 to 1500, That is just what I was told. The little arms are all the way full, but the back rest holds air so I never fool with it.

I think it says 800-1500 lbs right on the sac itself, but I've always questioned the accuracy of it (I use one as well - w/o the arm/back rest). Sometimes I'll throw a 350# on top of it and another 350# in front of the engine cover along with 200# of sand under the bow. When I'm pulling beginners or want the seating I'll just use the two 350#'s on each side of the engine. The sand up front stays in most of the time.

When I first got the boat I put the seat in the back,a 550 on each side of the engine and about 400 in the bow but the wake was not very good. So now I put a lot of weight in the back, a little in the bow plus people and it has been working out much better.

I know a guy in Texas who puts about 4500 lbs. He has that fat seat lounge in the back, then he throws a 600lb bag on top of that. Then he has a 600lb bag up under the closed bow. Plus 500lbs of free weights, and 600lbs on each side of the engine. Its serioulsy insane how much weight he puts in a '87 prostar

I know you're not naive Leo, but until you get pics most of us will continue to doubt it. He must not be filling them up all the way and even if he was the math is off...for craps, say the Fat Seat he has is 1,500...the total would be 3,500 based on what you've said.

with the setup i talked about my buddy using(2100lbs and a cooler plus peeps) the water was getting pretty freakin' high at idle. i'd really like to see some pics to prove the boat wasn't submerged with 4500lbs of water in it.

4500 is a lot of weight. What size engine does that 87 190 have? Mine is a 99 with a 310hp and fully weighted is still a bit of a struggle.
