Great price, great boat. With those options and stereo I would have thought 30k was a fair price.

thats not bad. i'm actually selling mine right now as well same boat but an 06 with a little better options and less hours. I would say that the one huge differance and something to look for when buying sangers is having the hi-pro black scorpian motor. Its a really strong and durable motor and pushes out 350 horses.

check out the craigslist link i'd be willing to work out something on the delivery.

Darren, Does the bow sit real close to the water in these? I am not so concerned when it is sacked out but when there is 10 people in it. If there are a couple people in the bow and then 6 or 7 in the cockpit does the bow want to take water easily when there is this many people on it? The reason I ask is that I had a 2004 Cal-Air direct drive and when we had 9 or 10 people in it it would almost take water over the bow when slowing down even if the water was glass and no waves were approaching.

brett its really not an issue. As with any boat the driver makes a big differance. I've had mine sacked out with 8-10 people and dont take water over the bow even when stopping to pick up a rider and another boats rollers coming. Now if you power turn you may get a little spray.

Soli, the link didn't work for me but I looked it up. Is yours the blue one? It looks nice but it is out of my price range. I want to stay right around 25 or so.

When I talked to the guy about his 2004 he made it sound like he doesn't even get in the water. I think he just used it to party in and play his music really loud. He also says he has all the service records and that it was stored in an indoor storage facility.

Stock std with no ballast the V210 sits really nose up. We carry 1200 pounds in the front & 700 in the back and its sits pretty flat. see pic.

Surprisingly even weighted up the boat is pretty dry, it has a unique way of rolling off the plane which keeps water out of the front & back. The only time I have taken water in the front is eating one of my own chest high rollers when turning around slowly.

That is kind of what I wanted to know Soli. The cal-air I had has a sloped bow and was absolutely terrible at taking water over the bow. That is the main reason I sold it. I head over to the Columbia river a couple of times a year and it just gets too rough. With 10 people in the boat there is almost nothing you can do.

Thanks Darren. That boat looks damn sexy slammed like that on the butter. It looks like you have the 315 Mag motor. Do you notice the hump that much? It has no problem getting the boat out of the water loaded down with that motor does it?

ya i literally just posted it about 15 mins ago. mine is blue. that is a good deal brett definitely worth going and taking a look at it. I wouldnt worry about it being low profile, I think it makes the handling awesome. They turn on a dime. Good luck they throw a sick wake with some extra ballast.
Old     (polarbill)      Join Date: Jun 2003       04-20-2008, 5:24 PM Reply
I am sure the wake with just stock ballast is plenty big for me. I am a beginner. I will have some pretty good riders behind it though and am sure they will want some extra weight. If I do buy it I will probably sell the tower speaker setup, one of the subs and 2 of the amps. I really don't need all that stuff. I would rather take that money and buy a snap bow cover and a custom Evolution cover for it.

ya darren nice ride. i run a similar ballast set up in mine. It will def get on plane even with the 315 hp but the black scorp does make a differance. just my 2 cents
Old     (ralph)      Join Date: Apr 2002       04-20-2008, 5:32 PM Reply
Yes 350 mag motor. The hump is ok but if I got another I would go for the scorp to get it as flat as possible, boards to tend to slide off it, its not a big deal tho. I really like the look of it but it would be more functional if it was flat.

Absolutely no problem with power, the boat would sink before it wouldn't plane up. I have run close to full ballast & 14 people before, it was a handful to drive but planed up slowly. Wake was giant. We run the acme 525 prop, its gold, top speed is 44mph

If I had a choice I would want the Black Scorpion as well, but the price on that boat seems really good.

Darren, you had 14 people in a V210? Must of been packed in like sardines. I bet the wake was huge. How many people do you think fit comfortably in one of these. I was thinking 2 in the bow and 5 in the cockpit including the driver.

That is a good looking boat.

Darren and Soli, I did some searching on the board and found that people remove a cooler and put a huge sack in the locker. Do you guys have this setup in your boats?

Yes, removed cooler & fitted a 600ish pound sac. Plus 600 pounds of lead under bow seats & 350 pounds custom tanks in the back, all hidden & automatic. I am too old to fool with sacs and pumps.

I don't have any experience with the 215 but all reports are it is a better boat than the 210.

Brett, thats a good looking boat and deal. If it's in good shape and you like it pull the trigger I bet you won't look back.

i run the stock kgb and a 575 lb sack in the bow. and 350 in each side of the motor box. i didnt remove the ice chest. I also have 100 lbs of lead in the main compartment to balance weight from the driver. that may be a good place though. My wake is hard as a rock at above 22mph. Its a nice poppy wake. its nice because w/o the sacks even with them semi full the wake is perfectly clean at about 19 mph. great for beginners. the 215 is the same boat just a tad bigger. boats great on gas too.

That price does seem very fair. Not that much difference between the two. 215 is longer and wider so more room. On the flip side the 215 wake will be slightly wider and require almost twice the ballast as the 210, and of coarse, use more fuel.

What do you think about this boat? I don't really have space issues, but do you think this sounds like a good deal? It is a 2002 V230. Black Scoprion, same colors as the v210. No ballast or PP. He is asking 25.

Just got an email from the guy with the v230. It is a 2002 has the Black Scorpion, only 120 hours, depth finder, heater, 2 piece bimini that covers almost the whole boat, 3 amps, 12 inch sub, 4 tower speakers(one set looks to be wetsounds pro-60's), light bar. He says the boat is immaculate shape and has always been inside other than when being used.

Looks like the they each have there advatages/disadvantages.

V210-
adv: looks really clean, better stereo, PP, better fuel economy, doesn't require as much weight to get a great wake and is newer and automatic front ballast.

dis: 315hp(hump and power), a lot less room in the boat, kind of high hours for a 2004 as compared to other boats.

V230
adv: bigger, more storage, better for partying, black scorpion.

Dis: Looks to be in a little worse shape than the v210 although I don't see any huge marks on the gel or tears in the interior. I think the weird tower speaker and bimini set up make it look abused a little. No PP, no ballast, worse fuel economy and is older.

JTW, looks nice. That is kind of what I was thinking price wise that 04 v210 should go for with the options it has. All it needs is rear ballast and a custom cover. I can deal with sacks in the rear for now.

Any issues with your V210? How do you like it?

If I didn't have the V210 ,I would move up to the V237 just for space reasons. Very good boat and you will hardly ever find a negative post on a Sanger.

I think you've got a good price right in the ball park. I bought my 2002 V210 in late 2006 for $25,600 - center ballast, 350 Mag, 6 tower speakers, 2 amps, subwoofer, 450 hours, very well kept. Added Perfect Pass right way for another $1,200. Love the boat.

Does anybody surf with their V210. Just wondering if it is capable of throwing a solid surf wake.
Old     (ralph)      Join Date: Apr 2002       04-21-2008, 5:46 PM Reply
See what I mean about the V210 sitting nose high without ballast, Compare Andy's bow hook to mine!

We have surfed once, no messing around with the set-up, just filled the ballast & moved some lead, I don't have any experience surfing so I don't know if you can get the v210 better or how it compares to other boats.

The surf wake on the 210 is ok but not great IMO. I love the wakeboard wake though.
