I just saw a post by a fellow foiler on Folsom with this ridiculous story about some stupid Park Ranger idiot:

"He floated up to us and told us we aren't allowed to do anymore "aerials"!!! He actually told us we can't do flips because it is unsafe!!! He said something about it being dangerous because it was an uncontrolled environment or some gibberish... We are "allowed to jump", but we can't go "upside down or do any other tricks""

Has anybody ever had issues anywhere being told you can't do flips on a wakeboard? This is a new one on me.

Seriously? Try to find the boating safety/regulations manual that they use for boating education classes and show it to that idiot ranger. I would imagine that not one place in that manual says that you aren't allowed to perform flips. Then again, when I visited Cali, I did not have any run ins with the law...so things might be that strict. I wouldn't know.

That's retarded. Flip anyways and have fun while shredding hard.

Simple: Just ask him to kindly tell you what law is it that says that?
