Fx22 vs Z3 vs SA550

Looking at these different models of boats..

2015 Centurion fx22. The boat says Fx but I thought it changed to Fs, can somebody clarify that for me. I’ve heard very good things about the wave, only thing that I don’t seem too appealing is how shallow the boat is. Anyone agree on this?

2013 Supra SA 550 worlds edition, with the swell system added on. About the same price as the centurion, very good looking boat. Just not sure how well the surf wake really is.

2015/ maybe 2014 Tige Z3, my personal favourite. I know for a fact wave is awesome, nice interior, etc. Only thing is the price is quite a bit above the other two listed above. Worth the upgrade?

Probably a little expensive but there’s 2 leftover 2015 centurions at my dealer. Fs23 and a fs24. How much better will these really be? I’m going to say they’re too expensive but just thought I’d ask.

So that’s what I’m looking at. What are your guy’s opinions? Any experience with these particular boats? Pictures would be great!

Out of those three boats I like the Supra SA, but I don't surf.

The Tige probably surfs the best and the Centurion next. Centurion is odd looking to me. FX/FS has that hammerhead looking bow or Ferrari look to it.

Ive ridden in the 2013 SA550 and let me tell you the 550 supercharged engine makes the boat jump out of the water like a jetski its incredible i highly recommend you go try one out its insane. It's not a slouch in the surf or wakeboard department either incredible wakeboard wake and massive surf wake. If you can get a 500hp + engine in the other boats you posted then it would be fair to compare but comparing a 400 to a 550 supercharged theres just a massive difference in performance.

not mine lol i dont have 150k just ridden behind it. And ive never had any experience with Tige or Centurion but definitely give them a shot aswell.

The thing is I’m up in Canada and all the boats I’m looking at are in Alberta and it’s a winter wonderland

On the Tige Z3, worth confirming the year and if it has the static VX or the adjustable AVX.

Of course Mike. Most likely a 2015 with avx, which means Taps 3 is possible.. I know quite a bit about Tige’s, other brands not so much. Just trying to see if cheaper boats from other brands will be compared.

Z3 is a great boat with a great wave, it can be sensitive to side to side people weight when surfing in my experience. Centurion's are beasts when it comes to surfing and handling chop or rough water ride, there is less freeboard than the RI tho I don't see that as a downside and having Ramfill to pull on 2500lbs of ballast in 45 seconds is a big perk as well as CATS...I don't know much about Supra, but would say if you are comparing surfing in those years, it would come in 3rd to the above 2 models. May be awesome at other stuff....I only care about surfing so don't really factor the other stuff.
Guess the question is, what will you do most with boat?

D. Completely surfing, I literally only sort and slalom ski and for the skis that’s what friends with ski Nautiques are for.

I’m familiar with what the Z3 can do, my riding buddy has an older one just mainly comparing it to centurion.

2015+ Z3 and you'll be dialed.

Low freeboard of old SA is major downside and Centurion always changing models is ridiculous.

2015+ Z3 will hold some solid value, hence why you're seeing the pricing that you are.

Has anyone actually surfed a good previous gen 24mxz? I found one for a good price but not sure about the wave.

You guys are probably starting to think I'm just asking random questions, but I'm really just trying to get an idea of whats best. It would help if I could demo and had dealers closer.

That 24MXZ is a good price for a 14. Guy most likely traded it in for a new Centurion.

Go take it out for a surf for me bcrider!
