I may relocate to the Carolina's. It may be a broad question but I need to start somewhere. Where are the best lake areas near the mountains? Looking for a growing community.

If you are referring to S. Carolina, Lake Keowee, Lake Hartwell, and Lake Jocassee. Jocassee is in the mountains and cold all year but beautiful scenery. Keowee is great water during the week and can be crowded during the weekend, good scenery. Lake Hartwell is the largest of the 3 (stretches from S. Carolina down through upper part of GA.)
