one 2x4 and one wooden broom handle. Match the drill bit size to the broom handle ( I don't remember the size) Cut 2x4 in half drill holes at appropriate angle 60 degree angle should do ( just eye ball it) You don't have to drill all the way through. Mark and drill the holes at even notches on the 2x4. To mount you can hide the screws in the holes you drilled. Foam wrap or foam insulation for water pipes works well to keep boards unscratched. You can make this as simple or as fancy as you want.

I got my racks from www.wake-me.com They are inexpensive and look good. I am a carpenter and I could have built my own, I just like the look of the bruched aluminum.

We got some bike racks from the bike store. It's more of a display beacuse you can't put them right on top of each other, pretty close though. The upside, each rack costs $4.

Ronia or Stephan, can you post a pic or find a link of the bike racks you're talking about? Even with that picture, I'm having a hard time picturing in my head what's actually holding the boards

Here is mine. Cheap! 2X4's, PVC pipe, and foam insulation. Not good looking, but functional and cheap!

I know you meant to say Buzz, but you should see my house. There's at least 11 wakeboards, 7 snowboards, 5 surfboards a variety of skateboards & fat sacs on my front porch. It's ridiculous.

I think some of us need a 12-step program!

Anal Retentive Tyler has to chime in here. Below is a pic of my board racks in the garage. patterned out some racks out of 5/8 plywood, jigsaw out the pattern and router the edges smooth. A little paint and here you go....

Can you have anymore wakeboards.. Man you guys have a wakeboard for everyday of the week and extras just in case those dont work or whats the deal? Cool set ups though

Ermilo- Too funny! My wife says the same thing! In my case and I bet in many others, what you see is progression. Many people keep their old boards and hence build a collection. You are also seeing multiple family members boards at least in my pics. Two for me, one for the wife, one for the kids, etc....

How do you mount the bike racks I would like to do that in my room if possible, it would look so cool.
Old    spinsir            06-10-2005, 5:19 AM Reply
the bracket comes with two screws...i only used one screw in each bracket because they are so heavy duty. find a stud in the wall and hang the bracket to it. it took me less than a half hour to hang all 3 boards on the wall and it would've been quicker than that had my power drill been charged up...did it by hand and that takes a while to put a screw in a stud.
