I have a pond that is 275 ft long...is that long enough to do reasonably? Im guessing that is longer than some railjams done in pools/parking lots but what do you all think?

that is plenty long enough!
Most rail jams have a 20-30 ft starting pool, 40-50 ft of rails and then a 60 landing pool.

Now the real question is how in the heck do you get someone to approve a rail jam? Because everyone around here completely shut us down... Grrr.
