Rims are 18"
tires are 245x45x18
Not sure what kind of rims they are. There are quite a few similar out there in the black with the polished rim, but tough to find the right bolt pattern and offset.
Old     (entrustclothing)      Join Date: Jul 2005       04-04-2006, 8:26 AM Reply
man they must be a wide rim to get a 245 on them. are they like 18x9?
Old     (tyler97217)      Join Date: Aug 2004       04-04-2006, 8:42 AM Reply
not sure to be honest....they are wider than than the fender. my guess would be 7", but I have absolutely no idea.....
64 and sunny today.... I can't make it out though.......
Old     (entrustclothing)      Join Date: Jul 2005       04-04-2006, 8:52 AM Reply
no way a 245 will fit on a 7" wheel :-)

i would say 8" minimum

i would love to get out this week while the weather is nice but i got too much going on and of course its gonna rain this weekend :-(

Old     (entrustclothing)      Join Date: Jul 2005       04-04-2006, 11:26 AM Reply
willamette park, off macadam just south of downtown
Old     (tyler97217)      Join Date: Aug 2004       04-04-2006, 12:56 PM Reply
Yeah there is a large group of us that launch down at Willamette Park and ride and hang out back behind the island accross from the launch. There are a bunch of Supra and Moomba folks over there. Make sure you know the water there are a few hairy spots, but pretty safe with a 2 minute lesson....

Dave, Lake Merwin is always cold & windy & too many boats. I don't know why anyone would want to go there? On a side note, it's my favorite spot. Guess the secrets out, lets try to keep wraps on it.
Old     (tyler97217)      Join Date: Aug 2004       04-04-2006, 7:41 PM Reply
Yeah I am probably going to have Stereo King on 82nd do my stereo. Not sure about custom tower boxes though. I have seen one down at Hear No Evil in Salem and it is supposedly load as Sh*%. Have not heard it though. Been to Merwin a few times and it actually was windy and crappy and not sure of a good campground where you can actually party. I heard they are tough on the booze up there????? Is the ramp big enough to launch with a motorhome?
Old     (millerda31)      Join Date: Dec 2004       04-05-2006, 7:51 AM Reply
Diggs,

Yes the ramp is big enough to launch with a motor home. Merwin is a hit or miss gamble with the weekend crowds and the wind. I get there early and rip all the way down to the other end of the lake by the dam. Most of the riff raff stays up by the boat ramp.

I think it's worth it most days...I just really don't like the dirty water in the Willamette. I don't camp at Merwin, so I don't worry about the camping facilities. I do know that alcohol is banned in any PPL parks.

I need to get up and give Merwin a try this summer as well. I think that I will be heading up there as friends get off work on most Fri. evenings. The drive is a little long but traffic on the Willamette from Friday-Sundays is nuts. The thing all of us poor wakeboarders could really use is a police escort through No. Portland traffic on our way to go have fun....Dave??? Just kidding Dave, great profile pic btw, Billy at its finest.

Nice Supra Diggs. Have good friends with a 22SSV and they love it, plus Toby was pretty good to them. The blacked out look is sharp! One word of caution, one time last summer the friend was putting it on the trailer and it was just a bit too deep, without a cradle for the bow she hit the boat buddy a little hard and flipped it over banging up the glass right at the bow pretty good. I won't judge whether it was operator error or not but beware that without a cradle for the bow that it is possible to hit harder than anticpated.

Happy boarding to all in the PacNW.

I live up near Merwin. It's decent for weekday or off season riding. For in-season weekend riding there are way better places to go up there.

BTW, sweet boat.................

I don't know if I want any other wakeboarders out where we go because you might steal the good water! lol.

Alright, we ride Swift during the summer. Even when the Yale & Merwin ramps are overflowing Swift is relatively uncrowded. There are a few arms that when the main body is whitecaps are glass. If you have a self-contained camper you can camp in the main field with no one around with no reservations. The downside is you have to drive all the way up to the end to put in........
