1990 Ski Nautique Wake Size Help

Just purchased 1990 SN and I want to use it for wakeboarding but the wake is very small, can someone tell me how to weight it down to get good size wake, also please post some pictures of the Ski Nautique wake.

Fat seat with another sack on top of it in the back, then find a way to get a full size sack in the bow. With at least 4 people in the boat, it should now be throwing a nice wake.

This is a stillshot from a video camera so its really small and crappy. It kind of gives you an idea. This is when it was really lightly weighted, with about 500 in back and 250 on each side with 200 in the nose. We can get it over our knees with more weight. And its very solid.

O yeah ethan is riding at about 65 feet at 19 to 20 mph. Hes about 5'6".

my buddy has basically the same boat but a few years newer. We threw a 600 pound fat sac in the back and had about 5 people in it. The wake was sick. It was well past my knees and I am 6'6, and it was really solid too.

This is a 92 Ski Nautique with about 650lbs of weight (in back) and two people. The rope length is 65' and the speed is 22mpg. It definitely takes a lot of wake to get a decent sized wake. I don't really consider the wake in this pic to be that great. Barely enough to be enjoyable.

It looks good, what kind of prop do you use on the boat ?

The stock 3 blade.

You can get into SAN territory with that boat but it will take 2200+lbs and 24mph. Also a prop change will be needed (call acme)for both power and to clean up the wake. There is a lot of room behind the gas tank for lead!
The rear seat can be removed and replaced with carpet covered hard tank, or a fat seat.

I found that a 2:1 ratio of rear weight to bow weight works well on Ski Nautiques. (not counting engine side sacks)

I am getting the ACME #612 3 blade prop, and I have 650 lbs fat sack that will go at the back and few people in the front.

I have an '88 Ski Nauti and put a 540lb fat seat on each side of the engine and a 600 lb sack in back, plus people, and i can get the wake pretty darn big. I had to get an Acme 542 prop to handle all the weight. Once you go Acme you will NEVER go back.

Here's me behind a buddy's '96 Ski Nautique. It's weighted with around 2000 lbs ballast plus 3 people in the boat.

Marcin, pre-90 Nautiques have a different hull and cannot be compared equally to your boat.

JOhn is correct, those pre-90's boats are narrower. My friend has a 90 ski supreme and with the same number of people in the boat it sinks lower than my 92. We put a fat sofa in our boat and the wake started to get a bit intimidating. We're used to a few hundred pounds and some people though.
