06 J-Star Empire sizing problem...

My friend bought the 142 Malinosky (J-Star Empire), but it turned out to be shorter than his 139 3DS that he also bought (I know...wish i could buy two new boards too)...He fully measured both just the distance between tip and tail & he measured it with the full curve and same results. Anybody know anything? Is this normal ,or a defect or do they just not know how to measure? :-)

he could of just been a shipped a 138.

I dont want to sound stupid, but are you sure its the 142, not the 138?

Because I dont believe they say the size of the board on the actuall board.

Maby the place he bought it shipped out the wrong size or maby he grabbed the wrong one while he was at the shop...

The possibility is true! He and I aren't newbs to the sport at all, but i'm going by what he said to me. i will double check with him, but wouldn't it be odd for the board not to have a sizing on it? It would make sense that it's the wrong one, but i would have thought he would have noticed the size writing on it. Or maybe it was a blem and wrong size was stamped on it. I don't know, but if it is his problem, then my bad...i will double check with him tomorrow, but just thought i would look into if there was a universal sizing problem. Thanks for the input thus far though guys!

OK. I talked to my buddy again and he says that it IS the 142 for sure because he actually stood the "142" and the "138" Empires beside each other and obviously picked the longer one (142). So any ideas?

He took the board back, but just found it odd...wondering if maybe they do sizing 'differently' or something. Just raising awareness ;-)

why did he buy the empire and a 3ds...(real similar in shape) mabey his 139 3ds is the wrong graphic...my 141 j star is 55 3/4 "
