Hey guys,

I recently purchased an 03 CWB absolute platinum 140 and have ridden it 5 or 6 times....I am just starting to get the hang of how the board cuts and pops. I am coming from a trip but like the looser feel of the cwb absolute and the pop is amazing The only fins that came with the 03 was a set of 1 inch fins. Before buying the absolute i rode a friends 04 pure cwb, very similiar to the 03 absolute...the board had 1.9'' fins on it. It was loose but seemed to track better. Does anyone know of any online shops I could order some longer fins from?? I know alot of people ride the absolutes...what do most of you guys have for a fin set up? Any suggestions would be appreciated

Thanks in advance

Brandon

I have an '03 Absolute platinum 140, and personally I prefer it without the fin at all.

1.9" fin seems a little excessive to me.?
I got my board used, so I'm not sure if I have the stock fins you have, but I thought they tracked too much. They are "velocity" just over 1" tall and about 7 1/2" long.

They are for sale if anybody is interested

I have an '04 Absolute Platinum and ride it finless. I haven't slipped out once. John, if you have proper edging technique, you should be able to ride that board without fins.

I would really try to work on technique instead of buying bigger fins.

An 03 should not have 1" fins at all. It sounds like you were given the 02 fins. The 03 fins should be like .7 or smaller.

You can put longer fins on it, but the Absolute is designed to be a loose riding board.

If you friend's Pure had 1.9" fins, he definitely put those on.
