This exact pump came with my boat but one of the electrical wires is broken(came out of a coupler, can't get it back in), i have two fat sacs(500-600#s each). It is advertised as a fly high fat sac water pump.

http://www.buywake.com/catalog/detail.lasso?cat=8&man=Fly%20High&sku=FL_Ws5wLg621 w2x&-session=buywake:FB174D5690E2840B0F0E8F0E3D9DF335

I have three questions
1) Is this a decent pump, i can't find any details on it.

2) How should i get the wire back together, without risking shorting it out(the two parts of the wire that have connectors holding them together will be underwater, they are very close to the pump). Is there some special type of connector that i need to use to keep it watertight.

3) How do i use this pump, just connect it to the fat sac, drop the whole pump in the water and plug it in?

I can hook the wire up manually holding it in and the pump works fine.

Thanks for any help

You will probably need to make the connection water tight. I am sure you can do this by cutting off the boot, reattaching the wire, and then using tape and silicone sealant to waterproof it.

Also, That is just an attwood pump and you can pick one up at wallmart for $16-$20. Just cut the wires off the old one crimp them to the new pump and put the hose on the new pump.

Get a heat shrink butt connector from your local auto parts store. Once you shrink it, it will be water proof.

As far as manual systems go, that's a good pump. It is faster than others with higher ratings

Thanks for your help guys that answers my questions. I think i'm going to fix this one up and get another one as well so i can fix both the sacs at the same time.

My only remaining question is do i just throw this thing in the water and fire it up?

ya you have to dip it underwater to prime it then you can surface it once it is pumping

When filling the bags i attach the long hose end to the bag correct, when emptying i just reverse it correct, there is no way to just change the direction of the flow is there?
