Week ago doing a simple front roll and over rotated. Caught the nose on landing, face plant, board ripped from feet. Felt like a knife went thru the shoulder and arm on fire. Was gone in 10 minutes and rode again. No pain for a week until 2 days ago. Feels like a meat clever got planted into my shoulder with pain to the base of the neck. No bruising or swelling. Have had both shoulders reconstructed from skydiving accidents, but never pain like this. I also have full motion of the arm, although painful. Crash happened so fast, I must have had the handle in my hand with a serious grip. Is this a just a bruised muscle?

Sounds like a pinched nerve. A pinched nerve can feel like a shoulder injury, but it's really a pinch in the neck.
It could also be a SLAP tear wich is a small tear around the rotator cuff.
If you tore your rotator cuff, you would know it, you wouldn't be able to lift your arm straight up.
I have/had a slap tear, took it easy for a few weeks, did PT...feels really good now. Might be worth the 20 bucks to see the DR for the cortisone shot.
