Hey gang,
Replacing the carpet in my 02 Sanger DLX. I have lot's of samples from most every online source and I think I have settled on 24 oz for the floor and 20 oz for everything else.
Before I place the order, I thought I'd ping the collective and ask those who have done this to share what you installed and what tips you have. I've seen Newty's thread. Anyone else?

Ken

I did it in a Mastercraft 205 last winter. Take the old stuff out in as few pieces as you can and use it as a template for the new stuff. Cut the new pieces slightly bigger than the old ones and test fit it and trim it before gluing. Try to cut it so you don't need to do seams if you don't have to. Marine carpet has a "grain" to it so install it all going the same direction. Buy yourself a big box of latex gloves for when you are gluing the carpet down. Its a messy job and i found the glue got everywhere. And buy a little extra carpet in case you screw up.

Its not a very difficult job but its time consuming and not much fun.

Mike, nice work. My old carpet came out in one piece, so I'll use it for a template. Where did you get your new carpet and what weight is it?
