Ollie on the flat, want height..

Hi all, this may seem like a simple question but what is they best way to get height on an ollie? When I ollie I look down, does that affect your height, and should I keep the handle close to my hip?
Any advise on would be great..

Loading the line is the key. You have to develop line tension to get height. Easier said than done.

this is just how i oli and i can oli a no wake bouy on a good day. i cut out to the left side of the boat(i ride left foot forward so it might be right side for you) and i do them on the way out, i cut out pretty hard too keep the taunt then let off my edge and falten out then push down as hard as i can on the tail of my board. it gives ya pretty good pop and one you get that down you might try oliing off of rollers they are fun to play around with. if i were you i wouldn't look at my board when i do it i look at mine on my cut then i let off and look up then look back down for a grab or on landing
