We just got our 2005 Mobius LSV and were playing with the hydraulic wakeplate, I put it down a bit and the wake shaped up much better. I looked back at the guage and the plate had come back up...why is it not staying in the down position?

Is the fluid level maybe low or am I just doing something wrong?

Also, what type of hydraulic fluid does it use?

Thanks.

It may be a gauge problem. When my gauge gets to 0% (all the way up) the gauge sometimes flips to 100%. The plate hasen't moved. The units use Dextron III transmission fluid.

You may want to check it out on the trailer if you haven't already. If it is only happening in the water then there may be air in your hydraulic line that compresses as a result of water pressure on the plate as your driving. Does it do it in the water when your not moving as well?. I'm not too sure what the gauge uses to indicate the position of the plate. Interesting.....
