Owner's name is John Lee. He is on this board and goes hyperand or something like that. I think that boat is still for sale. It also has an auto tower feature that raises and lowers the tower with a push of a button.

I just check my old emails and it's a 2004. It has a custom tower and a huge system in it. You can probably find it in the classifieds if you look.

Ya, I am sure I saw it work many times. First he tried to use a worm screw, then a pneumatic piston and finally a hydro. piston.

Sorry I don't have the originals. He posted a picture of the boat with the linear actuators on it for a brief minute. I cropped them out and asked him about them. He then removed the picture and asked me to do the same. He was talking about taking it to market at the time. But haven't heard anything and that was quite a while ago, so here's the cropped photo: The electric actuators: I strongly considered doing this same thing on my Skylon tower. I did all the math and determined that the actuator would see forces in excess of 3400lbs with Skylon Rubicons up there. For about 2 weeks I played with all the angles trying to get the Math to work out. The reality turned out to be, if I had any significant weight on the tower, it'd be too much for the actuator. This probably explains why he went to hydraulic.

Kevin C'mon...are you one of these fans that thinks Dale is like a god or something. He isn't coming back. He drove a freakin car for a living and he is now dead. This whole make you boat look like a race car...talk about a waste of money. Anyone paying these guys money to put HOMEDEPOT or BUDWIESER on the side of the boat. FREE ADVERTIZING for them thats all. GET A LIFE

Craig. Thanks for the pic. I was thinking it was somthing internal. Kind of like how the Illusion towers on the Bu's work. (if you dont allready know the Illusion towers have a cable running inside them that helps take the weight off the tower when lowering it kind of like a garage door spring). I had heard MC was working on a tower that lowerd itsef. Seeing what john was trying to do was a great Idea for the Skylon tower. IMO that tower folds down in the worst way and takes 2 people to do it. So what he came up with is a GREAT idea. Prop's John

Not a dale fan in partcular, but the boat is a copy of dale jr's boat who I believe to be alive. That guy put a lot of time and effort into his boat, its his time and money let him do what he wants. ps, sweet tower idea.

TK, What are you talking about? Dale Earnhardt Jr is alive. If you know anything about NASCAR you'd know that this boat is done up like Jr's race car. Dale Earnhardt Sr, who has passed, has nothing to do with this thread. Get your facts straight.
