Does anyone have a source for an I-beam clamp for a 6" I-beam that I could attach a guide pole to for my boat lift?

I'm looking for 4 clamps and 4 metal poles. I can get the PVC oversleeve at Home Depot or something.

Thanks.

I would fashion something using U-bolts, one on top and bottom edge of the beam. As a backing plate, you could use a short piece of 2X6. The I-beam would be sandwiched between the pipe and the board. You could cut grooves in the board to add stability.

David, I was just trying to think of a way to clamp a pipe to the I-beam. I like Adam's angle-iron setup better so just go with that.

On my lift I have a 5' PVC pipe over the cable on all 4 corners and it works great. The cable acts as a guide and centers the boat.

Try looking at McMaster Carr. It is an industrial warehouse that has EVERYTHING!!
www.mcmaster.com.......you should find it there.

Unfortunately my cables are hidden under my dock, so I can't follow your setup on the guidepoles Rich...but I think I'm going to go with Adam's angle-iron setup.
