Bu 23LSV vs Supra 24SSV vs Tige 24V

I am looking for a boat for bigger lakes (Mead and Powell) and am looking for opinions from anyone who may have experience with any of these boats. Also, I am looking for information on pricing for a reasonably loaded boat (hard to tell what is a reasonable deal the way dealers work).

I love our ws LSV, handles great, great wake, and it has so much people room its crazy.

I am picking up my new 24ssv tuesday I test drove it a couple weeks ago . It is an great boat the wake is huge . the boat is loaded :tower speakers ,lights,custom rankin cover , bimmine top plus all the standard features it is bad !!"I am paying around 52 k

Tige 24V. Look at the specs. It is the biggest. If you're especially worried about big water conditions, simply look at the hulls. The Tige hull is substantially thicker, and hence gives a more stable ride in the chop. The Tige is 600 pounds heavier than the Malibu - it's not because Tige uses a heavier engine.

Dealer support is critical in your decision. Is there a Supra dealer in Vegas? I have been very pleased with the dealer in Vegas. They are very knowledgeable (sp?) and have always been ready to help. For reasons I can't exactly put my fingers on, the Malibu people I had spoken with left me feeling lethargic. When making a purchase of this magnitude, you should be so excited you can't sleep at night.

I'm surprised the SSV is 52K. I always thought one of their angles was a better price. You can get a well equipped Tige for very close to the same.

dealer got my 24ssv in , looked at all the boats you mentioned, my opinion was that the 24ssv rode better,better wake ,great layout, awesome in rough water, i spend my summers on my houseboat on powell and the water through antelope canyon can get really rough, looking forward to seeing how it handles, also great price.

How exactly is the Tige 24V the biggest of them all?

I really love both boats but I went with the Supra 24SSV due to a couple of reasons. I have my 24SSV fully loaded with almost all the bells and whistles for around 50 out the door. The Tige 24v with similar features and the Rival ballast system didn't come close. It was closer to 57K out the door comparably equipped. I know many Tige people here will say you don't need ballast but if you want comparable wakes, you do. A friend of mine around here has one and if you like a truly big wake, you will want a ballast system in the Tige. With the stock ballast in the 24SSV (1800lbs: 1000front, two 400 rear), the wake is quite large with a big transition and nice lip. With more weight in the back and some passengers, it gets extremely large (there is room for two 1000 bags in the rear lockers as I believe McFly has done from WSD).

Either way, IMO, you can't go wrong with either. I have driven both on several occasions and I felt they both drove and handled in a similar manner... even in chop.

As for the 23LSV, I haven't driven one but it is the smallest of the 3 (although that is still quite large). Also remember that the 23LSV is smaller than the 24V which accounts for some of the weight difference... although the Tige is 300lbs heavier than the 24SSV which is comparable or slightly larger. For what it is worth, I really couldn't tell the difference but you may have a different opinion so get out there and drive them.

Thank you for the education! I was mistaken, the Supra and Tige are the same size. How does a boat with the same measurements get 4 extra passengers? The website posts weights 375 pounds different between the Supra and Tige.

Is there a Supra dealer near you?

I'm in St. George 110 miles away from Vegas and the Tige dealer has strived to help me not bring the boat down when it isn't necessary. When I do take it to him it's important the work be done promptly, and it always is.

my brother & i and another buddy took a lesson about a week ago from dave briscoe. we rode in his new 24ssv which worked out really good because my brother is looking to buy one. we couldnt believe all of the space it had. dave had the gg ballast so the wake was huge. i have the gg ballast in my 04 22ssv and have to say dave's wake was quite a bit larger. he has the 8.1 engine in it & that wouldnt be a bad option if you are gonna have alot of people/ballast onboard all the time. we liked the layout. the fit & finish is superb as always with supra. if i didnt just buy my 22ssv last year i would buy the 24 over the 22. my brother made up his mind he's buying one at this coming boat show. he really fell in love with it. i hope this helps you out some. sorry, i dont have much experience with malibus or tiges. my ssv is my third boat from skiers choice. i have had a 00 outback ls, a 03 launch ss, & now the 04 ssv. i am thoroughly satisfied with their product. my local dealer is excellent & always goes above and beyond. check into the reputation of the dealerships. i would factor that in pretty heavily to the purchase. everyone wants to sell you, but how well will they service you? good luck with your decision.

i need to ride on a Supra now....the 24v that i went out on today was INSANE...i would go with a Tige' even without driving a Supra only because of the service part here in LV, we bought a Sky Supreme and as far as warranty work and service it has been a pain to get anything done since the boats arent sold locally.

and we also felt the same from the Malibu dealer her in Vegas

I think the seating capacity has more to do with rated additional weight than it does with actual space. 16 people in the SSV would definitely be tight but I could do it legally without getting a ticket if I desire to do so.

Luckily, where I live I have dealers all within a mile or so of each other for MC, CC, Malibu, Supra/Moomba, and Tige. It makes the choices very open.

I agree, if boats are similar, you should definitely go with the one that has the best dealership as every boat will require work at some point or another.
