So, it's been a while since I've been in the market for a good board for a novice.

My fiance learned on a Hyperlite Premier 135. I think it's like an '03 or so. It's the second generation Premier that was a bit different from the original. Anyway...

She's done well on it (edge, ollie, ride switch, clear the wake heelside), but I feel like the board is a bit unpredictable and aggressive for her.

Any recommendations on boards to demo?

Thanks,
Danny

the new Hyperlite Syn board is awesome. Very foregiving board...easy continous rocker. Same board as the new Tribute. My wife has been on the LF Diva, and Ronix Coy last season. She has been on the board only 4 times when we were in Texas and Arizona. But she already said what a huge difference and absolutely loves this board. She said it was so much easier to control. Pops great, edges hook real good. She swears by it and is dumping her two previous models.

another vote for the hype syn 137. My gf learned on a lf diva 139. it was fun but she got the syn in sept and go a chance to ride it 10 times or so. she loved it much easier for her to carve on and the rocker is smooth but pops still. I knew she loved it when she 1st rode it and was smileing ear to ear. She looked much smoother and gave her the confidence to progress.
