2005 pure is the same as 03 absolute, imo best board shape ever. However, when I first got mine I tried it with fins and hated it......once I took the fins out I loved it.

My friend Sara rides her Pure (probably an 02 or 03) finless and smokes. I ride my 04 Absolute and 06 Marius finless. The only reason I would put the fins back on is if a first-timer was just learning the basics.

Give it a try.

I debated going finless for almost a whole season. When I finally removed mine It was the best thing I had done to improve my ridding. I've also ridden the Pure without fins it rides great

Yep, I rode the 03 lute platinum with fins after I bought it and hated it, was talked into going finless and fell in love.....never looked back.

Has anyone rode a Parks finless?

parks finless would be a nightmare, unless you're looking for a roam-type ride.

Ask Jason Callen or Chris Williams. That's the only way they ride them. That said: Jason also loved riding the Roam.

i rode the parks finless for a year before the roam came out. i love the super loose feeling and tryin to keep the board in control when its completely out of control. i love the snowboard feeling that it gives me. i have to ride with my knees really bent and squatty. even if riding a board like that doesnt interest you i would strongly recomend everyone spend a day here and there riding finless to teach urself to use the edges of your board more.

my friend rides his parks finless and I tried it out and I didn't notice it at all but I mainly wakeskate so am used to the no fins feel. As long as you know how to use your rails instead of fins it is easy.

Finless is the only way to ride. If you really want to "up" the feel, roll out the Roam. Too effing sweet for words.....
