i am new to wake surfing. I have been maybe three times. I can surf solo (without rope), and am anticipating doing more in the future.

still, i am new and have a question or two. First off, it is easy to see the differences in boards. like longer surf style boards and thinner skim style boards. what is the difference here? one better for airs and spins? longer for cruising?

what about thickness and fin placement?

i am not going to go pro, but i would love to learn to surface spin and maybe get some air.

in other words: tell me about the different types of boards, thier uses, fin placement and reason they are placed like that etc etc.

thanks!
