rode w/ big ed and antbug today! aside from the weird issues we were having w/ equipment, frankie and i still had a great day! thanks for the pull big ed! your wake was sick, as always!

i wanted to ride big ed's byerly, but his bindings were way too big for me. (they don't call him "big ed" for nuthin!) anyway, he said i should put my bindings on the byerly, but i was just too lazy, so i got on antbug's absolute. now, keep in mind, i've ridden this board before, and the only thing i didn't like about it was that it's too grippy.

bug and ed both said i was going bigger on the absolute. i did feel like i went bigger on my toeside. nevertheless, i really like the board. i'm hoping to ride it again but with my bindings, to get a better feel 'cause bug had the new zeus on it. even if i had ridden a pair that fit me, i doubt i would get the zeus. cool bindings, and great support (i've ridden another zeus that fit), but it's just way too stiff for my taste, and way "too supportive." i like support in my bindings, but also like feeling like they're not even there when you're riding. gawd, i hope that made sense!

I have 05 zeus' and it takes a few rides to get them to break in, then they're pretty loose and no major pressure points so they do feel like there's nothing there. Trust me they keep you in. (granted I did alter mine a touch)

And just ride the absolute finless.

Joe what size absolute did you ride and was it foam or platinum??

i have been demoing a bunch of CWBS of late and rode both foam and platinum 135s and also i had the 138 Trancend all weekend and until the last set sunday thought it was too slow but started feeling the board pretty well..

i am buying one of them soon but cant decide between the 141/135 platnum or foam or the Trancend..

i may ride both a few more times before i decide...

How was Big Ed's NVS setup? How much tower movement does he have hitting double up's?

Mr. Blindside Blade ~ Well well well... what do we have here. HEY EVERYONE after one run Joe was ready to trade his 138 Blindside Blade for my 141 Absolute (not platty Bill). Can you believe this. I know I was speechless.

Adam ~ Joe and I were putting them up on the tower before we left and the clamps were to big . The unit would wobble a little and the clamps were as tight as possible. So your question can not be answered.

I did turn them on really quick and

J~rod ~ I promise you will have you update soon!

Joe you should try this years, it pops more & lands smoother. It is great sans fins as well.

Hey is that Pyramid? I've never seen the water that color before. Were there a bunch of logs floating everywhere?
Castaic was pretty good yesterday too.

Yeah Umali, try this years board and we shall see how long it takes you to retire the Blade to the slider board ranks.

The absolute was too slow for me and it rides too low in the water!
