Thoughts on LF Venture 5'6??

I was thinking this might be a good all around board for smaller wakes and can handle heavier people a little better. Thoughts?

we have one I'm 205 lbs and have to surf way forward on the board.my wife is 105 lbs and likes it a lot.

We were using it when we first got our boat and I started about 5 people on it including myself. You will quickly outgrow it. We had riders from 110 to 220 on it and almost all of them struggled to free ride on that board. It really rides like a tank. We've since moved on to some other things. A lot of guys on here will recommend the IS Blue Lake in this scenario. Currently my bigger folks are riding my phase 5 oogle.

If you want a board in the same price range, demo a Ronix Koal 5'0" Lots of heavy riders are capable of riding this board. Personally everyone that I have taught to surf, had a hard time getting up on the Blue Lake. It is a nice board, it just was diffucult for them to get up on. May have just been them. But when I switched them to a CWB Tsunami they were able to get up first try.

Thank you for your input. I did want to stay out of the higher priced range boards. I have an older shred stixx and its a great board but the nose is tearing up and it has quite a few dings in it and seems not as responsive as it once was. I am currently a student so I would like to stay $300 or lower.

Would the Koal 5'0 or 5'6 be better for a smaller boat wake and heavier rider??

Sid, Ronix also has the new Cortez out for 2010 and is around $289. I just bought one as my boat board but it hasn't seen the water yet.

The Cortez will prob ride a smaller wave better then the Koal. They are both ok for any weight rider.

How does the Cortez compare to the '09 Stage?
