I have never seen anyone that could ride in 40 degree water in a heater top. But then again, his riding is hot enough to keep everyone warm.

I think it's impressive all the handle pass maneuvers. I bet the gloves slightly helped, but from my experience cold/numb hands can't do a simple handle pass

INSANE that he is not wearing a full suit. Crazy Canadians!! I can't believe you were even able to film with it being so cold. My hands would have fallen off. The water very well could have been 40. We had 10+ days of subfreezing temperatures at night with the highs in the low 40s and high 30s. It felt no different than when I was just in Colorado. The humidity makes it feel REALLY cold. People must have been looking through their windows thinking they were hallucinating.

Long Live Norbi! Get about 10 of these together (on warmer days of course) and you got yourself a full length feature my friend. Put that up on Itunes for $10 and I will get it for sure.

Dwight, I really don't know how you guys do it. I can't even think when I get into water that cold except for "what the f am i thinking, I'm getting back in the boat". I hear you on the cell phone double posting. I post a lot from my iphone and accidently hit it twice sometimes then if you don't realize it with in 10 minutes, it's up permanently. Nick Davies is another one who never wears a wetsuit even in England when everyone else has one on. I realize he doesn't fall, but he still gets wet lol.

Well our riding season is typically 4 months. And that's without a drysuit. With a drysuit you could get a couple more months out of it. Usually the only time I go out when its that cold is at the end of the year where that one trick is evading me. That's when it's time to buckle down, and get out for one more set. Hope this isn't too much of a thread hijack. Rathy just kills it, I look forward to watching the vid when I'm on my laptop.

Ya Canuks don't have this concept of what is cold... heck we'll go out sleddin, snow boarding with it -10 out and be totally content with it...

One of my last sessions boarding this year in late October..... Did go when it was colder but no camera to take a pic of the temps.... but it was under the 100 degree combined total.

ya, my hands get crazy cold super fast. bad circulation i think than most... like they say, "cold hands warm heart" haha. but how does that work with mood rings when the ring is blacker than coal. hmmmm

anyway,

About half the video Rathy wasn't wearing gloves and trying to shove his hands under his arms when not shredding. i guess those little knitt gloves weren't working after a while. i'm willing to bet he borrowed them from someone else in the boat. someone ought to get that guy some better gloves!!

yeah but he forgot his good gloves so thats all he had. regardless whenever the gloves get wet theyll just keep ur hands cold. I think the best solution would be those oneill neopren gloves that my friend robby holihan was using at owc a few days ago

That's still relatively cold regardless of the location it was filmed from. Very nice video.

nice vid (as always). where's nicola's part? it looked all of cold. on an overcast day, everybody i ride with including myself start to wuss at between, say, 65-68. well, that changes with the season. it's easier to deal with the cold when there's all this eagerness after a cold winter but harder at the end after a warm summer.
