lacing up you Slingshot bindings with snowboard shoe laces is not really a good idea. i had a good season until a really good crash Saturday were my foot basically got ripped out of a snowboard boot and now my ankle is done for. doctors said it is a sprain after xrays, but there has not really been any healing progress, hope no surgery is needed

I did the same exact thing in June. I dug my tail in on a switch heel back 1 and my foot got ripped out of my boot. My boot was completely tight and the force completely tore my atf ligament. I was in a full boot for weeks then started pt and I'm just now finishing up i feel about 80%. I still can't believe how bad I hurt myself, one doc wanted surgury but 2 other docs said pt and I'm happy I didn't let him cut my foot open. It's still supposed to take a few more months untill I'm 100% though but I'm back to wakeskating and landed my first shuv in months so I'm happy. Good luck with your recovery

Thank, i really should think about getting a pair of bindings that release a little easier.. it feels alot better today, we will see, if it comes down to it i will be surfing for a while i just love wakeboardings so much. It would suck to cut my season a month or two early. let alone effect my snowboard season.

Do slingshot bindings normally lace up instead of having a clip on them for tightening? If they do I would just go with another brand binding so your foot is more likely to come out in a crash.

they don't normally lace up that way. My problem is the removable inner lining washed around in the boot to much for me when i rode. So i switched the laces out with snowboard laces. bad move

injuries happen, its not just because you used a thicker lace
