Recently I let a friend used my Discover card to book a flight on Priceline. She thought she bought 3 tickets to Grand Rapids from So. Cal. When the transaction was finished, it turns out her ticket was for Chicago, 300 miles away. She immedialtely tried to cancel it but there was a $600.00 cancelation fee.
She cancelled it and booked the flight on a different site.
Discover says the transaction is valid.
Obviously there is a reason. Anybody know what it is? and is there recourse?
Thanks. I wanted to know if it was a scam, like bait and switch.
She called them immediately to cancel and they said she owed $600. She was afraid to OK anything else with that company in fear she would owe another $600.
She showed me the screen before she clicked Ok (to double check) and it clearly said Grand Rapids.
