Air temp + water temp >= 100.

It's getting close to coming under 100 here in Seattle. This morning was 46F air and 56F water. Water temp keeps dropping so not that much longer before riding is under 100.

That's an urban legend! Lol.. sweats under the drysuit, hot water shower, closed toe bindings and gloves... no problem :-)

Check -- all but the closed toe bindings. We're good down to the 80's. But 100 remains the threshold that separates the hard core from the rest.

Do it.. closed toe makes a world of difference in the cold. Fill em up with warm water from the shower before you get in and keeps your feet warm the whole ride. I find my feet feel it the worst when its cold.. with my open toes they would eventually numb up and make it hard to do anything.

Trying to get out this weekend... air will be about 50 the forecast says and water probably the same...

We went out this last weekend here in Wisco... 43 degree water and barely scratched 50 degrees for the air... wasn't too pleasant... HOWEVER, somehow it's starting to warm up, so I guess it can't get any worse for another week or two!

Today is the warmest day in October for Michigan. We're taking the afternoon off to drop an Xstar in. High of 66 so we'll be way over the age old 100 degree formula. Plus we have a new CWB Vibe here we need to "test" out.

Sounds like a pass to go riding in my book!
