Will this board work?

I am 6ft 190, have been riding for 2 years and share a 03 belmont 136 with my son. I want to buy a new board. My son just bought a 05 parks 136. I have been told this may not be the board for me. I consider myself a beginner/intermediate. I Want to try something new. Should I get my own board or will I be ok on my sons. Thanks

With your height and weight you might want to look into a larger board. I'm 5'9" 165lbs and I am on a 135 absolute. Something in the 141-143 range might fit you better. Whatever you decide you should demo the board first, and be sure you are comfortable with the way it rides.

the parks rides really big. so the 136 may work for you. if you can, demo! we can say "yes, it will work" all we want, but ultimately, you won't know until you try it.

Defintely demo the PARKS. It is just one of those boards. Might look cool and just because your son or friend likes it and can ride it, doesn't mean you will. I personally hate that board, I rode it 3 different times and all were the same outcome.
