You should let us know more info before we can make any recommendations. Height, weight, skill level, what have you tried and liked/disliked...

look at some of the liquid force boards, maybe a hyperlite vinyl. try and find a pretty basic board, but not one that is just a piece of wood with foam on top

if you are 5 feet tall you should get the NEW mini 36"

I second tiny wakeskates. The Zariel is coming in a 40 this year, I'm stoked.

Is 10 years old to young to start wakeskating? My son wakeboarded this summer and has skateboarded since he was 6.

start em early! nothing wrong with that

if he's been skateboarding for 4 years and has wakeboarded already, I say you get him on the better of the two sports. :-) Never too early.

Never too young. I started my oldest on the wakeskate when he was 5 and I hope to get my youngest out there before that.

mini, or devotid 38, solid board, fairly small. but its a bi level so if that not what your looking for go with the mini

i would not recommend the legacy. its pretty awkward to ride. i definitely wouldn't recommend it for a first deck.

what about the liquid force ARMADA or the hyperlite CATALYST

what about the liquid force ARMADA or the hyperlite catalyst
Old     (wakemitch)      Join Date: Jun 2005       11-28-2008, 1:05 PM Reply
Kurtis, those boards would be really big for you.

like we've said you should go with the mini. Its only 175, it isnt a cut down wakeboard (armada and catalyst), you can have whatever you want as a graphic, and its the right size.

The TNT might be small enough if you wan to shell out the cash

its funny how you ask for our advice and go completely the opposite way. haha

next time you get a board you will understand.

have fun wakeboarding

Old     (jasonpav)      Join Date: Dec 2008       12-20-2008, 4:47 PM Reply
I like the catalyst, but it really is a big board.
Old     (toxis)      Join Date: Jul 2008       12-20-2008, 5:18 PM Reply
why did you even ask anyone's opinion then? You basically ignored everyone and went with the catalyst... my guess is because the graphics look cool.
