I purchased some pop-up cleats and my fiberglass is too thin for them to work. Attwood has a different set of backing plates that takes up the gaps.... I need 6 of each of the following part numbers and NOBODY has them and Attwood won't respond to me. I've tried 7-8 online places and all 3 local marine part shops. Help! I've got 6 holes in my boat and nothing to plug them up with!

I would just cut a 1/4" abs shim for them.

just make some out of wood and seal it.

Marineengine.com says there's a 3-week lead time for them to get them....

I can't visualize how an ABS shim would work.... It has to be pretty close to an exact size/shape. Hoping to still find the correct part....

Did you try to contact Attwood directly?
I needed a part that I couldn't find anywhere and they sent them to me no charge. Might be worth a try.

an abs shim or a wood one would work just like any spacer, that's all you need for what your doing is something to fill in space. That's all my pop up cleats have on them.

I called Attwood for my tower nav light I'm building. They directed me to West Marine's special order desk. (800-262-8464 and ask for special orders). West Marine was able to look up the part by Attwood's part# and sell it to me. They aren't the cheapest but were the only place I could find the part at the time. Good luck !
