Harman/Kardon Drive + Play

I installed a Harman/Kardon Drive + Play in my parents boat a couple weeks ago for my dad's birthday. The problem I'm having is I can't get it to work with an IPod, it boots through the Harman/Kardon display, better never shows it is hooked up with the IPod. Any ideas? I'm going back to visit in a week or so and would like to get it working.

Mine found the IPod perfectly.

However, it has a TON of static, using the FM transmitter. Then I tried the wired attena attatchment, and it's just as bad. Right now, it's about a foot from my radio. I have used other FM transmitters from about 5 feet, with no static. So, could my "main unit" be bad? I dont' even use the thing, because it sounds so bad.

That's really not what I want to hear after dropping $150 on the thing.

Ya well. I'm thinking about going and buying another one, trading out the "brains" and then taking it back. I'm hoping I just got a bad one. I thought it was just static. And since I didn't use it very much, the warrenty ran out.

Mine sounds good, almost CD quality. I am not sure about your problem, tho? Try to reset or disconnect from power for a minute or two.

I don't have one, but
I did alot of research about them

I understand that the problem you have could be....
you need an older version of your software
download an older version..it has trouble reading the latest version
nano and other models have more trouble than the larger models
