Is there much of a difference between these boards?

I don't believe there is a difference. I know there is a difference with the 03' board.

the '03 board was slightly thinner in the tip and tail. They had an issue with them breaking. The mold has been the same from '04-06.

Thanks, I am looking to buy one and I can still find them brand new back from 04 at a much cheaper cost.

I can verify what Thane Dogg said. I snapped an 03' substance but my 04 has been solid. The 03 is definitely thinner. I'm about 90% positive the 04-06' boards are the same except graphics.
