Getting a lesson!!!

Well I'm finally braking down and getting myself a lesson tomorrow. I was just wondering if anybody has some advice for me? I want to be able to take full advantage of the situation. So anything will help. Thanx

Go with a plan! If there's things you want to work on discuss those with your coach. Ask for trick break downs before your set even starts. Ask lots of questions if you're not getting the feedback you want. Be prepared and accpeting of critiscism. You might think you're doing something great when in fact you could greatly improve or slightly improve upon it, so try not to let pride get in the way. Have some other things you want to work on in case you're getting spanked trying one thing in paticular.

Always, make it fun and have fun. If you're having fun it makes wanting and willing to learn so much easier. You're less likely to try and force something. Granted you still have to be willing to push yourself but do it having a great time!

I went on a lesson a few months ago and it was great! I went with Arun Francis and he was awesome! Always gave advice everytime I was down, and just made the whole day alot of fun. I went in knowing what I wanted to learn, and I left with the right tools. It was one of the best times I ever had wakeboarding. Hopefully your lesson will go as good as mine did!

If your coach does not video your set, bring along another person to video and review it with your coach in the boat, take it home and watch it over & over. It really helps. Good luck and have fun.

I 2nd Isac's comments on a lesson with Arun. The whole boat has relaxed feeling and you feel like your on the water with long time friends. I had the bonus of have Derek Cook on the boat as well. I went home with a HUGE smile and finally some new skills. My daughter enjoyed the experience as well.

So the lesson was a good experience. I learned a few things but at the same time had trouble with things I already knew how to do. I did have a lot of fun. My coach was Chris Craig, he rides for O'brien's team. If I go again, which I'm hoping too, I will be sure to video it.
