I had both my ACLs reconstructed last year about this time. I didn't think that staph infection was that common. I did have a mild reaction on my second knee but Keflex took care of it. Since there is a high ACL surgery population here, how many of you (those who have had knee sx) have had to have there graft redone or had to have a second procedure for a staph infection to there wound or surgery site?

I think Parks had a staph infection after one of his surgeries. I could be mistaken though

Staph infections after knee surgery is rare. I do about 15 or so a month and cant remember the last time I had any infection. (knock on wood) Does seem to be a bit more prevalent in higher caliber athletes, probably die to getting into rehab too early or they are MRSA carriers due to locker room environment.

I was thinking MRSA carriers as well. Just seem too prevalent in the NFL right now. Cleveland has gone thru 6 reported staph infections in the past few years.
