Get out early before it gets blown out. I haven't been in years but you used to be able to find some good water by the dam....but you have to go early. Or go across and up the lake and there used to be a few coves over on that side.

If you head up north from the launch there are some nice coves on the east side. I usually go to the one where the power lines cross the lake.

Go down to needles marina. Its a 35min drive and well worth it. That section of the river is beautiful and fairly deep. If you do launch out of needles go down river the area around Park Moabe(sp?) is always glassy. Have fun

Bob, Like everyone else said. Either by the Dam or go up by the power lines, the water is usually pretty good there. Go EARLY!! It can get really blown out.
