Really?

Go on craigslist, and see what you can get for $10k. That is not a difficult budget.

Not going to go into detail recomendations, but any 1/2 ton truck/suv will do the job.

1/2 Ton Chevy Silverado, Tahoe, Burb, or 3/4 ton Silverado or Burb would be my recomendation.

Everything I look at seems to have 150,000-175,000 miles on it. That would be fine if it was a diesel in good shape. My wife is used to gas vehicles and anything over 100,00 miles on it is too much for her.

Here's an '02 Dodge Durango 5.9L 4x4 (360ci) with 74K, loaded w/ factory HD tow package for under 10K, bet you could get it cheaper. It would do the job, towed a couple boats with the wife's '03 Durango 4.7L before I bought the truck. Just gotta expand your search a bit, this took all of thirty seconds to find.

I dont know why people freak about over 100k miles? Ive put over 200k on a car and a truck. You just need to maintain them. Trucks right at 100k go for a pretty good price.
