So yesterday it was 45 outside, not a bad January day all things considered. I thought we might actually be on the water in a month or two. Only in Minnesota can it go from 45 above to -10 below over night. WTF.

Todays Forcast:

Today: Snow showers likely with patchy blowing snow, mainly between noon and 3pm. Cloudy, with a high near 9. Wind chill values between -19 and -24. Blustery, with a west northwest wind between 25 and 28 mph, with gusts as high as 38 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around -10. Wind chill values between -25 and -33. Blustery, with a west northwest wind between 14 and 22 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph.

Wednesday: Partly sunny and cold, with a high near 3. Wind chill values between -19 and -29. North northwest wind between 5 and 10 mph.

Wednesday Night: A 20 percent chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around -5. Wind chill values between -8 and -18. East northeast wind between 3 and 7 mph

Its been crazy cold in the midwest this year, and snow has actually fallen... such a shock from the past four years or whatever when its been mild... I only remember about a week last year (in Wisconsin) where it was below zero, its on like week 4 up there now... picked a good year to be a snowbird

Andy, I'm looking at the same thing here in Milwaukee. Supposed to drop from almost 50 down to the low 20's by rush hour. Rain all day, then start snowing/freezing and a total white out with wind chills in the -20s overnight low -4. It was over 40 at 7:00am today.

You should know better that winter is a big tease!

I'm going to say that we will be able to hit the water within 8 weeks (at least on the Mighty Mippippissy). If the temp can go down that fast, it can go up that fast too, right???

in Nebraska just the other day is was around 50, nice enough to wear shorts, then it started down poring in the early evening, then that night it froze and we had a nice blizzard the next day. if you don't like the weather just wait 10 mins of so and decide again.

Don't forget that they say that March is the snowiest month. Although, temps are high enough in March that it usually melts just as fast as it arrives. Another good thing about this winter is that all the snow we got at the beginning should help in keeping the ice a little less think that the previous 4 or 5 years. Plus it'll help keep the lake levels up once it melts.

These cold cold cold a$$ temps are for the frickin' birds though. (lol, that's a saying isn't it?)

and a few more, I like to think that if I were to catch the jerkoff that stole my snowblower this summer, I'd happily run him down!
