My parents have an irrigation pond that I measured out over the holidays. It looks to be about 40 feet wide and has one straight away that measured out right at 1100 feet. Seems like a good place for me to start learning how to hit these things. I am just praying the snakes will be gone!

What are the specs of a good winch? like what kind of motors, how much hp, and do people make them homemade? I'm somewhat new to winching and really wanna get in to it.

even though i am not much of a winching person

Everytime i am driving by some old town... or even out in the middle of no where between towns I see little ponds like the first and always think "how cool would that be to see someone ride that?"
I especially like the ones with some abandoned dilapidated shack next to the pond
