Looking at getting my first wakeskate. Money isn't an issue, I was just wondering what everyone prefered more. Foam or grip. Plus, since I know nothing about them, what size would I need? 145lbs. 5'8". Thanks for anyone's help.

I’m 5’5” and 145 lbs and I was riding a 116 Grub, but dropping down to the 107 Byerly. Got a chance to talk with Scott at the boat show and he gave me some good sizing tips. I would try to demo a 40-42 LF or cassette or the 107 Hyperlite. I like the foam, it’s a bit more forgiving when you rub your legs with it. Check with your local board shop and see about taking some demos out.

I'm 220 and ride the Catalyst 112. It's a bit small so I ride a bit faster. Foam.
