I know it's not a wakeboard boat, but that's not the purpose I want it for. My friend and I are thinking about going in on it to use at Lake Travis to tie up at the cove. I know a lot about wake boats, but not much about these kind of boats...just wondering what you guys think.

Sweet color scheme and a shaggin' cabin.... What's not to like.

Other than that, I know nothing and am of no good help.

I like the color scheme too. My GF said she didn't like the "Miami Vice colors"

Pretty sick boat. Would definetly be fun with some power mods.

That is all personal choice. Not a huge fan of those colors but it isn't my boat my friend.

Why not a pontoon boat? If its for partying that thing is gonna be cramped with 4 people in it, and where are the ladies gonna dance????

stabbin' cabin with a mirror by the bed? sweet... you'll be swimmin' in cougars with those 2 features and the miami vice color scheme. better bring lots of booze and protection to the lake.

that being said, if you just want a party boat, looks like a good one.

Pontoon boats are ok...they're just too slow.

I can't find much info on this particular model and brand. Doesn't seem like a lot of people are familiar with powerquest.

The boats where built in Michigan. Very well built and riding boats.

for a party/cove boat I would say you will be disappointed with the size...

The real question is, does it come with a free hair perm and gold chain?

If I could afford to buy an Axis 22 I'd probably go that route, but I cant'

Well just buy some new graphics for this boat and slap them over top of the pink ones and you are good to go.

If you just tie up at a cove, then maybe look at a pontoon boat. These go-fast boats do one thing, get you and maybe 3 others somewhere fast. If you are just hanging in a cove and not going anywhere fast, ie poker run, running the coast, etc. might not be much use.
Old     (guido)      Join Date: Jul 2002       07-15-2010, 12:23 PM Reply
Dude... The colors are so bad, that they're good.

Going fast is UNDER-rated. For people that are used to driving around in 25mph wakeboats a good 70mph blast is a serious thrill. My brother's got a Donzi that I love racing around in. Especially passing wakeboats through 3' chop at 65+. IMO, those boats only need two throttle positions. On and Off. Ha, ha.

i think the pontoon a tritoon they go faster with the portapottie 2 bimini tops the killer stereo would be better on gas and insurance.less maintainence also. you could be the floating dock and cookout central.the other boat is too 70's colors too small for a real scarab and you probably can't get parts for it any more.women like REAL men not pretenders.that boat has wanna be written all over it. sorry

If you like it, rock it. Our cobalt does 64 and it is fun to watch the gas gauge go down. Or cruise all day at 2500RPM. The only issue I would have is going in with a friend. That often means that at the end of it you are not friends any more.

i didn't even notice it had a Momo steering wheel. you should change that out with a Momo wood grain wheel. that would be classic.

Do you have a mullet?
Do you own the Miami Vice soundtrack?
Do you have a tribal armband tattoo?
Do you have a ratty goatee?
Do you have short shorts to match the color scheme?

If you answered yes, then this is for sure the boat for you.

You're a dick. Sorry I can't afford a bad ass boat. I'm only 26, so I'm doing the best I can.

I like the one you picked up better than the original one you posted. Congrats on the new boat!

Sorry man, my bad. I didn't see the second boat. I was talking about the first one.

Just kidding man, I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings. If it makes you feel any better, I had a 98 purple tige when I was 26. You gotta start somewhere, and anything beats sitting on the dock. Just though you'd have a sense of humor about it. Seriously, wasn't trying to be a dick.
