Exhaust Question

I saw a newer Malibu today that had chrome turned down exhaust. Is there an advantage to the turned down compared to stock exhaust(besides the look)? Ive noticed a lot more fumes since weve started wake surfing (being way closer). Could the turned down help with this?? thanks for any info

I believe even the turned down tips still exit above the water line. If you want less fumes look into Fresh Air Exhaust. The exhaust exits under the water line with these, and when the boat is in motion, the exhaust will resurface out past the wakesurfer.
