Board for this season?

I have a hyperlite 3ds. I have spent two seasons on it.

A good friend of mine recently bought a b side hyperlite.

I really liked this board in the water, but before I go down and buy one, is there anything else that people would recommend that is compare-able to the pop and the really "edges only" type of cutting?
