I dont know how bad the rain is there. but, we had a pretty decent rain storm about 2 months ago and went and rode anyways, we threw the bimini up, put on our wet suits, and wore hoodies all day, it was freezing, but we had flat water all day.
rain normally means no one out there but fishermen, which means good water.
just make sure you drive the same direction the rain is falling, it sucks riding into the rain. you cant see anything

I haven't ridden in over a week and I feel all stressed out and grumpy. I could really use a pull!

I was starting to get real agitated that i had not been wakeboarding in nearly 3 weeks so i decided to pick up the ol' "thumbing rides" routine. went to a popular place to camp and boat and approached a family with the first wakeboat i saw and they said sure hop on.

showed them some tips on getting up, edging, popping, a few backrolls, how to drive a double up, hang-ten on a wake skate, converted one of them to flex indefinitely, and came out later to show them some wake videos.

just a super awesome family!

They invited me out again if i felt like it and rode again this morning. The father figure is an assistant scout leader and plans to bring his scouts up next month and is hoping to get with me again.

sometimes when your feeling down and out of luck you get compensated for even more just by sticking out your thumb (and offering gas money and help and friendship too)

thanks to them and anyone else that has ever given me a pull!
