Hey guys. just wondering if any of you have made a camera housing on your own? i am mid process right now. i decided to use epoxy resin and fiberglass for the housing compartment. it will be sealed at the back with plexiglass and an O ring. For the lens ports i am using a 3" PVC tread cap that i cut out the center of so basically it is a threaded ring that i have glassed into the Body. the biggest thing i am wondering about is control seals. for the shutter i am using a remote trigger that will be wired into the pistol grip and then for the push buttons i will use rubber from a silicone iPod case that will be laminated and sealed and then for the dials(this is the tough one) i am going to use 3 peices of plexiglass. 2 that cut into 1" circles and one 3/4" circle and are drilled at the shaft width(1/4"). then the center one is smaller than the other two because it will be inseted as the fill peice for the glass that is cut out. then it will be laminated with the two bigger ones. one outside the housing and the other inside the houseing. the outside ones will be countersunk to make just enough room to insert an O ring that will seal around the dial shaft running through. so in total there will be 2 O rings sealing the shafts. then the outside peices will be epoxied to the housing.

i will post up progress pictures when it's done. just wondering if anyone has any experience or ideas then can lend me to make the seals as good as possible and the housing as functional as possible.
thanks
