dave u surf bum, are you looking for a beginner board?

$250 is pretty cheap but I would definetly check e-bay for some used boards/bindings. search for a cwb sol.

David. I have a CWB sol that I bought last year when I started. CWB bindings. It was good for me to start on but I'm ready for a more advanced board now. I'm selling it. If your interested e-mail me. tazzi@usamedia.tv

mango-i guess so. i mean i know the basics-getting up, turning, hitting the wake with a cutback kind of turn (my surfing influences). when i moved i was just getting to landing my front side wake crossing. what do you think, intermediate or beginner?

brad-what length is the board you have for sale?

hmmm we'll man if I were you get an cwb Absolute which is what i have but it will cost you a lot more money. you can do fine with the cwb sol but when you progress you might want a different board.

I would go more to a 143 for your weight/height/riding level, but you could ride a 138. I've ridden a 136 and am shorter and heavier than you. Mango is right about progressing beyond the board though. I could've been happy with my LF Rythmn, but I have been getting better and I like new stuff, so I bought a Byerly and have been very happy. End of season might be a better time to pick up a board if money is an issue.

143? that's huge! i'm 160 and ride a 141. so what it really boils down to is preference. 143 would be ok to go with, but a 138 or 140 would be easier to maneuver, don't you think?

True Joe, but he is pretty tall and relatively "light" by comparison. I can't think that he'll notice much difference give his skill level at this point. I think being on a smaller board he'll "drag" in the water too much at the speeds he's likely to feel comfortable at. I could be wrong though...never ridden on a CWB board.

wow that's cheap $237 for everything. I never used the mobe bindings but when you get better you will probably want an upgrade.
