Finally getting my own rig for next season, and I want to educate myself as much as possible on boat operation and maintainence between now and the spring.

I know these boards are a good place to start, but can anyone recommend a good one stop site/book for all things boats?

how about this:

I would take a boating class. I took a class when I was 14 or so. It was done by The Power Squadron. Very informative and it gets you a discount on your insurance.

Try this. Kudos for being pro-active and going out and asking to learn about what to do/not to do.

haha, yeah I've read that. I just want to be as informed as possible so I can hit the ground running in the spring.

What I really want is the absolute bible for boating. do's, don'ts, safety, proper care, and everything about how they work.

any ideas?
