anyone use these and find their power ratings to be accurate via a bench test?

ask Mikeski, he has one. I know they use tripath technology. Class-t technology has a "uniqueness" to it. both good and bad. You might start yrou research there.

Actually I have 4. Two in the boat, one in the truck and one backup. I also have 4 of the old Blaupunkt tripath amps floating around my car and garage.

It's not for everybody but I have had lots of luck with tripath stuff. The biggest issue is they make weird noises.

I sent a message to Avionixx and asked them why they switched to class A/B and they said "a 2% instability issue lead to a 30% return rate". So I bought mine retail with a warranty (at least the first two). No issues that I did not expect so far.

I was running a Hifonics ZX6400 the previous summer rated at 340x2 for my config. the Avionixx has a noticable increase over the old HF.

Be aware that I am running the 2004 vintage tripath amps which were rated at 12.6v, I believe the new A/B amps are rated at 14.4v, it makes a difference.

In all honesty I always take manufacturers claims with a little salt. When I researched the Avionixx most owners noted an increase when compared to similarly powered systems. The other thing I liked about the Avi was the cleanly laid out circuit board.
